About New Life

New Life Presbyterian Church began as a small Bible study that met in the home of Jack and Rose Marie Miller—a couple intent on sharing the love of Jesus Christ with those in need. In the early 70’s, this small group began holding worship services in Jenkintown, PA on Sunday afternoons and looked for ways to make Jesus known to each other, their community, and the world. New Life was formally organized as a congregation in 1974 so 2014 is a year of celebrating our 40 years of ministry. We are members of the Philadelphia Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

New Life was established on a foundation of passion for gospel-centered ministry; a conviction that believing the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power for living for the Christian as well as the unbeliever. The dynamism that results has led to the establishment of several more New Life congregations in the Philadelphia area, churches planted by seminarians who have gone out from the church, significant mission enterprises, and a renewal movement popularly known as “Sonship.”

New Life now meets in Glenside at the corner of Jenkintown Rd. and Easton Rd., in the heart of the Glenside Community. The Church continues to support missionary efforts overseas, church planting in Philadelphia, and outreach to those in our community. In recent years there has been a renewed effort in loving our neighbors including a food cupboard, New Life Thrift Store, New Life Nursery School, and commitment to participate in community events.
